With the new year come new goals, and sales leaders are off and running in pursuit of 2019 numbers. Are you ready for the competition? Here are three sales incentive statistics you should know:

  1. 90% of Top Performing Companies use recognition and rewards to inspire their sales employees and/or channel partners. You don’t want to be in the 10%. Especially with your top customers and sales team. Mindshare is everything and if you’re the one in the market without a motivating reward, your challenge will be that much greater.
  2. 99% of people have a unique set of reward preferences, making points programs a great bet if you want to get people interested. It’s scalable and there’s something for everyone. But if you have to choose one reward, choose travel. Sales people have been known to walk away from up to $30,000 in potential commissions just to make the trip.
  3. 100% of your sales team and channel partners won’t know about the incentive program, if you don’t communicate it. Set aside a budget, make program rules clear and fair, and keep the program – and its rewards – front of mind.

If you haven’t finalized your 2019 program yet, it’s not too late. The team at Next Level Performance can help you with the strategy, communications, and rewards.

Here’s one more number for you: 43 years of experience motivating and engaging people.  That’s us.  Give us a call and we’ll help you build the right program to hit your numbers.
