Last year, 30,000 kids sought treatment at Children’s Specialized Hospital’s 13 New Jersey locations. That’s 30,000 kids with illness or injury that makes every day harder. Harder for them, and harder for their families and friends. But that also means that 30,000 kids worked hard and got help with their challenges through occupational, physical, and cognitive therapy, among other treatments. Here at Next Level Performance, we’re impressed with the commitment of the CSH team and the kids and families they support. That’s why we’ll be working with them this summer for our annual HOPE Week service event.
Many of those children and their supporters give back to the hospital community and other children by participating in the annual Walk ‘N Roll Fundraiser. This year’s event will take place on May 20th and event organizers are hoping for even more than the 2,100 walkers and rollers they had last year.
So what inspires everyone to participate? A parent summed it up best on the hospital’s Parents’ Blog, saying:
I often think of all the children we met during our stay at Children’s Specialized Hospital. The many friends Cooper made, some in wheelchairs, others attached to machines which breathed for them. These children keep me grounded and humble. They push me and my family to continue raising money and awareness for Children’s Specialized Hospital because every kid there is working so hard toward a better life.
If you check out the event site, you’ll see that Super Cooper is the #1 fundraising team. In fact, Cooper is now 12 years old and chairing the event. This family is giving back and providing a way forward for the next family who needs assistance.
At Next Level Performance, we believe in giving back, too. As a team, we are grateful for our good fortune and we look forward to giving time and resources to CSH in support of their great work.
Until then, we’d like to give a shout out to the kids who will be walking and rolling in the event on the 20th! Great job helping other kids get to their own next level!
