Every quarter at Next Level Performance we nominate teammates who live up to the company CARES values: Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Ethical Behavior, and Service. From the nominations, we also select a teammate of the quarter who did an exceptional job living our values and delivering on the company mission: To help people and organizations dig deeper, reach higher, and attain the next level. Every Teammate of the Quarter winner demonstrates the values of Next Level Performance through their high levels of engagement and dedication.
In Q3, the Teammate of the Quarter is our Associate Manager of Travel Operations, Jessika Vocht! Jessika spent the last several months spearheading the travel department’s transition to a new software platform and working on operational efficiency. Throughout her seven years at Next Level Performance, she contributed to the success of many travel programs and has been very active in our recognition and engagement initiatives.
We sat down with Jessika to discuss her successful quarter:
How has your role changed throughout your seven years at Next Level Performance?
I started out as a Travel Experience Coordinator after the recession – a time when the travel department was somewhat smaller than it is now, giving me the opportunity to wear many hats to learn a great deal. After two years, I became a Travel Experience Specialist. Much of my role in both positions was customer-facing, involving management of the registration process, building survey portal websites, and supporting Travel Program Managers with meetings and event planning.
After being promoted to Associate Travel Experience Producer I became more involved with the creation and execution of incentive group travel programs. My day-to-day included sourcing hotel properties and destinations, coordinating air travel, and creating proposals. Now, as an Associate Manager of Travel Operations, I help manage ongoing travel programs, ensuring they are executed as efficiently as possible.
What are some of your biggest accomplishments from the last quarter?
Over the last quarter we’ve been switching from our proprietary registration platform to outsourcing to a third-party provider. We were told the process would take six months, but we managed to accomplish the switch in six to eight weeks! The goal is to make our registration process faster and more efficient, for planners and for participants.
What motivates you the most when at work?
I enjoy going into work knowing that I am in a position to ensure the efficiency and productivity within the department. This means I get to work closely with the rest of the team to optimize every single travel program, making sure that our clients are 100% satisfied with the results. The hard work we put in every day determines the outcome of the travel program, so I always come into work motivated and focused. Working alongside such a supportive and dedicated team, I am always proud of the progress we make.
