Dittman Receives Companies that Care Award

March 15, 2016

Companies that do good works in New Jersey are recognized by the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ)  with a Companies that Care Award. We were proud to be among a group of remarkable organizations honored at a recent CIANJ reception as a Champion of Good Works.

Supporting our community is integral to our Dittman CARES Values and our Mission: To help people and organizations exceed their own expectations. We believe that successful organizations and individuals bear a responsibility to do what they can to provide opportunities and improve circumstances for others through corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects. As a performance improvement company, we know that engaging our employees in giving back to their community is important, both as a corporate citizen and as an employer.

Each year, we undertake several initiatives including volunteer and charitable giving opportunities, and our greatest annual project is HOPE Week. Taking inspiration from NY Yankees HOPE Week, we Help Others to Persevere and Excel, committing time and resources for a positive impact on our community. In 2015, we focused our efforts on the most basic needs in our community: hunger, clean water, shelter, and clothing.

The company and our colleagues made donations of both time and money and achieved the following results benefiting seven charities:

500 Snack-packs assembled for Center for Food Action

250 First Night Kits assembled for Jersey Cares to distribute to shelters

1 large carton of men’s professional wear delivered to Career Gear

2 large cartons of women’s professional wear delivered to Dress for Success Mercer County

3 large cartons & 1 bag of clothing, books, and water bottles for Clothesline by Elijah’s Promise

5 days of building-wide food collections for Elijah’s Promise

$563.64 in coins collected for donation to charity:water for clean water initiatives worldwide

Every member of the Dittman team contributed in some way, whether donating materials, assembling kits, and delivering the donations.

It was a great honor to be recognized, among our business community peers, as a Company That Cares.  And, it is a privilege to serve our community on an on-going basis. We congratulate our co-winners, including PSEG, Deloitte, Goya Foods, and Konica Minolta among others.
